Silk Art is a family run business based in Eastern Scotland and was established in 1991 by Lynne Kerr. During this time Lynne has built a customer base from all areas of the UK and sells from various outlets in the USA. Lynne specialises in creating a range of exciting and unique collages , designed using hand made papers, silk fibres and the wonders of nature including shells, flowers , sand, moss and stones. All collages come framed and the cards are prints of the original pictures mounted on hand made paper and are supplied with envelopes in cellophane bags. Individual commissions are also taken on request.

Lynne has now opened a new gallery and workshop at 140 Comistom Road, Edinburgh EH10 5QN where you can view an interesting range of original artwork, unusual gifts, jewellery, cards and craft supplies.

Opening hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm, and Saturday 10am to 4pm

Craft classes for adults and children aged 9 -14 are run on Saturday between 10:30 and 12:30 and cost £12.50. This cost includes all materials and refreshments. The classes include introductory silk collage, silk painting and card making.
